http://www.presstv.ir/detail/231376.html The lower house of the Egyptian parliament has unanimously approved a text declaring that Israel is the number one enemy of Egypt and calling for the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador and a halt to gas exports to Israel.

On Monday, Egyptian MPs voted by a show of hands on the text of a report, which was compiled by the Arab Affairs Committee of the People's Assembly (lower house of parliament).

"Revolutionary Egypt will never be a friend, partner or ally of the Zionist entity, which we consider to be the number one enemy of Egypt and the Arab nation," the report declared, adding, "It will deal with that entity as an enemy, and the Egyptian government is hereby called upon to review all its relations and accords with that enemy."     ..................................................................................................................................................................

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/231356.html At least 200 people have been killed and hundreds more have been wounded in South Sudan in the latest series of fierce ethnic clashes and cattle raids.

Hundreds more are missing as a result of the attacks in the state of Jonglei, which has been said to be reprisals for a wave of cattle raids and ethnic clashes.

"The people killed are around 223, 150 are injured," Jonglei state governor Kuol Manyang said, adding that some 300 women and children are thought to have been abducted    ....................................................................................................................................................................
http://rt.com/news/afghanistan-massacre-shooter-protest-431/ Hundreds of Afghan university students have taken to the streets to protest the American soldier who slaughtered 16 villagers in Sunday's shooting spree in Kandahar. Nine children were killed in the massacre.
About 400 students rallied in Afghanistan’s eastern city of Jalalabad on Tuesday.  The mob, which blocked a highway leading to the country’s capital of Kabul, chanted anti-American slogans and demanded a public trial for the shooter.
They also burned an effigy of US president Barack Obama and shouted “Death to America – Death to Obama.” Some carried aggressive banners, one of them saying "Jihad (holy war) is the only way to get the invading Americans out of Afghanistan," AFP news agency reports.
The protest follows a call by Afghanistan’s parliament to publicly try the shooter. American Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta announced on Monday that the soldier might face the death penalty if convicted. He added that the man will be tried under US military law. The Taliban released a statement promising revenge for the massacre of the “defenseless Afghanis”.
This comes as the first demonstration after the bloody rampage on Sunday, when at least one US soldier, reportedly drunk, killed 16 Afghani villagers, including nine children. Witnesses said several US soldiers were involved and reported the shocking details of the atrocity.
About 40 people were killed in protests last month after several copies of the Koran were burned on a military base. The US embassy warned similar rallies could erupt following the shooting incident

http://rt.com/news/israel-palestine-ground-operation-427/ The Israeli military is ready for a major ground incursion into Gaza in response to attacks from the Palestinian territories. The shelling of Israel and retaliatory air strikes in the Gaza strip continue, despite an announced ceasefire.
“The Israeli Defense Force (IDF) is prepared for any development, including a situation where we are forced to launch a ground operation,” IDF spokesman Brig. Gen. Yoav Mordechai told Army Radio on Monday night.
“We have everything we need and are ready to step it up if needed. There are many measures that we haven’t employed yet,” he added.
Earlier several Israeli politicians said a ground operation in Gaza was possible, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. But others, including Minister of Strategic Affairs Moshe Yaalon, indicated such a scenario is unlikely.

At least 10 people were killed after a Catholic church was targeted by suicide car bombers in the restive central Nigerian city of Jos, officials say.
The bomber detonated explosives after being stopped at the church gates.
No group has said it carried out the bombing, although Islamist militant group Boko Haram said it was behind a similar attack on a church last month.
There have been reprisal attacks against Muslims in Jos, with reports of shops being set on fire.
Emergency officials said that four people - including the bomber - were immediately pronounced dead at St Finbar's Church in the Rayfield area of Jos.
Eyewitnesses said the suicide bombers refused to open the boot of their car when challenged at the church gates before detonating the explosives as worshippers approached them.
Parish priest Rev Peter Umoren recalled the moment of the explosion.
"Just barely 10 minutes into the mass, I heard these blasts... and there was this chaos and the people were finding their way out of the church," he said.
Pam Ayuba, a spokesperson for Plateau state where Jos is located, told the Associated Press that the blast damaged the church's roof, blew out its windows and destroyed a portion of the perimeter fence.

Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has denounced the duplicitous approach of certain Western countries in rallying to interfere in Syria’s internal affairs while maintaining silence towards the persisting Israeli crimes against the Palestinians in Gaza.

“The wrong approach of some alien countries regarding their political and military interference in different countries has prompted serious concerns on the spread of extremism and terrorism, and the threatening of regional stability and security,” said Salehi in a meeting with Assistant Secretary of Russian Security Council Yevgeny Lukyanov in Tehran on Monday.

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/231366.html Many employees at Al-Jazeera news channel are resigning over the Qatari-based news network's biased coverage of events taking place in the Middle East.

While Al-Jazeera has gained a reputation for its coverage of the Tunisian, Egyptian and Libyan revolutions, the broadcaster has remained almost silent over massive anti-government protests in Bahrain and Manama's brutal crackdown on the popular uprising.

Al-Jazeera is also accused of blowing the opposition movement in Syria out of proportion and covering up the truth in the country.

It is also accused of fabricating whole stories about Libya and Syria and even staging its own footage at undisclosed locations. Al-Jazeera is also said to be forcing editors to give the stories a twist to benefit the state of Qatar's political views.

It is widely believed that the Emir of Qatar has a direct influence on the nature of programs broadcaste in Al-Jazeera.

The Qatari-based network's biased policy towards Bahrain and Syria has caused dispute among the news network workers.

Many employees at bureaus across the world including Lebanon have left their jobs over Al-Jazeera's biased stance against the Syrian government and in favor of the Bahraini regime. The latest person to quit was a key managing director

At least eight Pakistanis have been killed and four others injured in an attack carried out by a US assassination drone in northwestern Pakistan, Press TV reports.

The American drone fired at least four missiles at a vehicle in the Barmal area of South Waziristan tribal region on Tuesday.

Pakistani officials said that the vehicle and nearby houses were destroyed in the "unauthorized" attack.

The United States has deployed its terror drones to launch airstrikes inside Pakistan's tribal belt.

Relations between Islamabad and Washington have soured over the "unauthorized" attacks. Pakistan insists that the airstrikes by the unmanned aircraft violate its sovereignty.

Washington claims its drone strikes target militants, although casualty figures clearly indicate that the aerial bombings have led to the death of hundreds of Pakistani civilians.

Afghan officials visiting the scene of the recent murderous rampage by US soldiers in Afghanistan's southern Kandahar province have been attacked by armed men.

At least one policeman was killed and two other people were injured after the Afghan government delegation, including two of President Hamid Karzai's brothers and several senior security officials, came under attack in Panjwaii district on Tuesday.

Afghan officials said that the members of the delegation are safe and heading back to Kandahar city.

On Sunday, a US soldier opened fire on Afghan civilians inside their homes, killing at least 17 and injuring several others in the southern province.

Afghan tribal leaders, however, say the carnage had been planned and was carried out by a group of US soldiers, not a single trooper.
